Freeze! 22-26 Junho - Tortoise - Beacons of Ancestorship

No dia 22 de Junho de 2009 os Tortoise regressam aos discos e como sempre com o selo da Thrill Jockey. Beacons of Ancestorship é o 6º de originais e quebra um jejum de 5 anos, sim é certo que neste espaço de tempo editaram uma compilação e ainda um album com a colaboração de Bonnie`Prince`Billy, mas música deles e nova é que nada!

Se hoje se pode falar numa "cena de Chicago" não é com toda certeza devido a Michael Jordan, mas sim a estes rapazes, os Tortoise. Na banda pontifica o nome do produtor e multi instrumentista John McEntire, mas também já por lá passou o grande David Pajo...um dos mentores dos Slint! A criatividade destes senhores parece não ter fim: Krautrock, Post-rock, Jazz, Electrónica...enfim, música, é disto que se trata e é da boa!

Portanto, se já não havia razões para perder as tardes quentes da RU(, agora ainda há menos!
