Freeze: Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra - Kollaps Tradixionales

8 de Fevereiro de 2010 é a data que marca o regresso às edições por parte dos Canadianos Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, desta vez sem a colaboração da Tra-La-La band.

Kollaps Tradixionales é 6º álbum de originais e como não poderia deixar de ser tem o selo da Constellation.

O primeiro trabalho destes “filhos dos GY!BE” foi editado no ano 2000 e surge, por isso e ainda, com Efrim Menuck a dividir-se entre os GY!BE, (que anunciariam uma pausa em 2003 e até hoje mais nada se sabe) e os Thee Silver Mt Zion que continuam ai para as curvas.

Após a edição de “13 blues for thirteen moons” o colectivo sofreu algumas mudanças, saíram 3 membros, tiveram de arranjar um novo baterista e, agora, Efrim é o único guitarrista do colectivo…terá sido esta a mudança que levou à queda da “Tra-La-La band”.

Este disco começou a ser trabalhado no inicio de 2009 e é uma mistura de composições antigas (ainda com a mão da Tra-La-La band) e de temas saídos da criação da formação actual. Se existem grandes diferenças na sonoridade dos Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra? Talvez, parecem menos abrasivos e menos dados à experimentação e ao drone…a espaços (poucos) são até doces. Se calhar o facto de Efrym e Jessica terem sido pais ajuda a explicar alguma da, vamos chamar-lhe, “delicadeza”. É um facto que ao 6º de originais a palavra ganha ainda mais preponderância nas composições. Canções? Sim, não…talvez.
