ERRORS - COME DOWN WITH ME

Ao 2.º longa-duração os Errors (miudagem amiga dos Mogwai e que editam, claro está, na Rock Action), confirmam uma coisa - a La Redoute nunca foi especialista em música. Stephen Livingstone, Simon Ward, Greg Paterson e James Hamilton existem como Errors desde 2004. Até à estreia em disco (“Its not something but it is ike whatever”, 2008), os rapazes foram editando, aqui e acolá, uns 7'' até que em 2006 chega o 1.º EP, “How Clean is your acid house?” onde se destacava uma "Mr. Milk" que não enganava ninguém! A sonoridade dos escoceses é...ninguém sabe! Electrónica matemática à "fio de prumo", Rock, Pós-rock...os Battles? os Metronomy? os Mogwai com açucar? Os 65daysofstatic? os Boards of Canada?...

“Come down with me” chega envolto em alguma expectativa, afinal o disco de estreia dos Errors foi um dos mais interessantes de 2008...ora essa! Chamavam-lhes o futuro do pós-rock...até fazia algum sentido. Com “Come down with me” eles vão mais longe. O disco está mais eclético que o antecessor e funciona melhor como obra com um início e com um fim. Vive de ambiências, riffs de guitarra e de baixo, sempre com sintetizadores! e uma bateria a compasso - fio de prumo, portanto. É até um disco de duas metades, “The Erskine bridge” é a ponte perfeita, sem portagem e com via-verde para um final que os aproxima daquilo que eles são, os Errors.

Os Liars estão de regresso, dois anos e meio depois do último disco. Sisterworld, o quinto disco do nossos globetrotters favoritos (por esta altura parecem ter assentado arraiais em Los Angeles) chegou finalmente aos escaparates na terça-feira (leia-se: aos discos rígidos de meio mundo há dois meses). O primeiro single, Scissor, tinha aliás já sido disponibilizado há algum tempo de forma oficial como download gratuito, cortesia Mute Records, e deixava desde logo antever que o processo de amansamento da besta, já notório no disco homónimo, iria prosseguir com o novo álbum.

O rock insano e destruidor dos tempos de They Were Wrong So We Drowned parece já ir distante para Angus Andrew, Julian Gross e Aaron Hemphill. Detêm-se agora na exploração de canções de lógica mais pop. E se é verdade que não se safam mal nesse campo, damos por nós aqui e ali a sentir falta de uma ou outra explosão de loucura. Mas que se lixe. Confiamos neles como no primeiro dia!
