Freeze (9/5 a 13/5): Explosions in the Sky - Take care, take care, take care

Quatro, foi a conta que deus fez. Os Explosions in the Sky (EitS) regressaram aos discos (Yupi!). "Take care, take care, take care" é o nome do 6.º álbum dos texanos (ou 7.º se contarmos com a banda sonora para o filme Friday night lights) e vem suceder a "All of a sudden, I miss everyone", editado em 2007. Os EitS são um dos bastiões daquilo a que designou chamar post-rock ou pós-rock em português de Portugal e, portanto, o regresso da banda aos discos depois de 4 anos de pausa para, segundo os próprios, torneios de pingue-pongue, casamentos, filhos e outras coisas muito fixes de se fazer lá no Texas, não poderia deixar de ser assinalado no Fahrenheit!

Para os que estão familiarizados com o fogo cruzado do quarteto (Mark Smith, Chris Hrasky, Munaf Rayani e Michael James), fiquem desde já a saber que não há muitas novidades. Eles soam como sempre soaram. Continuam com açúcar q.b. e com os colhões no sítio quando os colhões têm de estar, precisamente, no sítio.

Para os lamechas, será mais um disco para guardar e ouvir só quando chegarem as primeiras chuvas do Outono; para a malta de algum pêlo nas ventas, é um disco para exaltar/exultar todo o tipo de ânimos.

Os EitS continuam sem escrever guiões nem argumentos nem histórias (até porque nem cantam, vejam lá como é que isto é possível), mas o Willy Fog deve andar a dar voltas no túmulo ou no balão de ar quente ao saber que afinal é possível dar a volta ao mundo em pouco mais de 46 minutos.

"Take care, take care, take care" é para ouvir e dar a ouvir. E é por isso que está em Freeze no Fahrenheit da Rádio Universidade de Coimbra.
