FREEZE!: Mogwai - Rave Tapes (Sub Pop/ Rock Action, 2014)

Em Outubro anunciaram o oitavo álbum sendo o single "Remurdered" responsável por descortinar os primeiros minutos de "Rave Tapes", o primeiro trabalho desde “Les Revenants” que reuniu a banda sonora de uma série televisiva.

Produzido pela banda e por Paul Savage, que já tinha estado presente na produção da primeira longa duração de Mogwai em 1997, "Rave Tapes" ficou disponível no dia 14 de Janeiro em exclusivo no The Guardian que antecipou o álbum para os fãs mais ansiosos. Mantendo as características da sonoridade que Mogwai habituou o seu publico, não podemos deixar de reparar na componente electrónica que se evidencia neste trabalho, mais do que em qualquer outro realizado pelo quinteto escocês, característica de "Rave Tapes" que tem servido de referência e fundamento para algumas críticas da imprensa especializada.

Com saída marcada para o mês de Janeiro, no dia 20 no Reino Unido pela Rock Action, e pela Sub Pop nos Estados Unidos, onde foi lançado um dia depois, estará agora também disponível ao longo de toda a semana, a ser servido em pequenas doses, no Fahrenheit 107.9 na antena da Rádio Universidade de Coimbra.
