Jean-Emmanuel Krieger, músico e produtor nascido em França e radicado em Brighton também conhecido como Baikonour, evoca o krautrock numa produção electrónica que nunca se afasta das guitarras e da percursão.
Num percurso iniciado em 2005 com  For The Lonely Hearts Of The Cosmos e que nos proporcionou, em 2008, Your Ear Knows Future, Krieger alimenta de forma continuada a imagética que o seu pseudónimo suscita - referência imediata à  antiga estacão espacial soviética.
O último projeto que abraça não foje à regra: F.O.G.B.A.N.K. traz à  memória a explosão de um fogetão na estação de Baikonour, o mais recente desastre a atingir o programa espacial russo, e Solid Smoke reforça a estratégia, remetendo para o uso do aerogel nas missões espaciais.
A nova aventura de Krieger, lançada a 8 de Janeiro, estende-se por seis faixas a descobrir ao longo desta semana, , e contou com uma única colaboração: Mike "Sulmaya" Pehrsson assume a  bateria em "Trucker's Speed to Lhasa".
