Still Life of Citrus and Slime pode ser a sua primeira aventura a solo, mas Charles Francis Moothart está longe de ser um nome desconhecido.  Parceiro de longa data de Ty Segall e veterano na mais recente onda de revivalismo do garage rock californiano, já passou por projetos como Fuzz, GØGGS ou Moonhearts, o último fundado com Mikal Cronin.

Em CFC, Moothart assume pela primeira vez a liderança e cumpre o desafio de sair da sua zona de conforto. O álbum de estreia foi escrito e gravado em dois meses de deliberado isolamento, como forma de enfrentar uma encruzilhada pessoal. O resultado são onze temas que, mais do que terapêuticos, espelham a sua versatilidade como produtor e multi-instrumentalista.

Still Life of Citrus and Slime tem edição prevista para 8 de abril, pelo selo da In the Red, editora sediada em Los Angeles. CFM é o destaque FREEZE! da semana, para ouvir de segunda a sexta, entre as 14h e as 15h, na antena da Rádio Universidade de Coimbra.
